How did I not notice this monster sprouting out of my oven vent??? It's about 15' up, almost directly above the pool pump. I was out there every day starting the pool, backwashing the filter..... but I guess I'm a fairly quiet person and I didn't disturb them. The guy who came to fix my pump was less lucky. They freaked out over the power tools and attacked him. Luckily he got away with just one little sting because there were HUNDREDS of wasps in this thing. You could stand and watch as 40? would swarm out, hover a moment and then take off just as another 40 or so came in and the traffic was constant.

Fortunately, it has been dealt with and my pool pump has been put back together.

Well the pool is back . After tweeking cursing, filtering,
backwashing, vacuming, etc... The pool is in an acceptable state again.

We can't say the same about the computer. It appears that the video
card is damaged. I will have to call Dell to see if it is integrated
or not and what a new one will run.

DE Backwash Sock The Patent Pending DE Sock is a long tubular cloth sock that gets attached to the backwash outlet pipe. The DE Sock fits any size backwash outlet pipe, either PVC or copper. It is inserted over the pipe and the Velcro strap is then wrapped snuggly around and fixed on itself. Since the DE Sock has a sticky material on its inside, it grips the pipe and will not fall off. Once properly attached, the user then proceeds to backwash the pool filter and the DE Sock catches all the dirt and DE but lets the water pass through!
